"Prophet. Story of Alexander Pushkin", produced by Kinoslovo and Central Partnership, has started shooting in Pavlovsk, St. Petersburg.

The movie is a biography and musical drama about life of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin from his days in Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum to the fatal duel with d'Anthès. Pushkin will by portrayed as a modern and multifaceted hero. The audience will see vibrant choreographic and musical numbers based on original texts, and shootings will take place in unique historical locations of St. Petersburg.

The cast is led by Yura Borisov who will play Alexander Pushkin. Also starring Roman Vasiliev, Ilya Vinogorsky, Anna Chipovskaya, Sergei Gilev, Evgeny Shvarts, Kai Getz and Florian Desbiendra.

Directed by Felix Umarov, choreography by the winner of prestigious Russian and international awards - Oleg Glushkov.
